Transporting animals around the countryside can be a bit of an ordeal, both for the animals themselves and for the driver, with the constant nagging doubts about the livestock's well-being. The HorseWatch wireless camera system can make a huge difference, allowing you to keep a constant eye on how things are going in the trailer behind you.

A miniature wide-angle CCTV camera mounted in the corner of the trailer will cover the whole of the inside, and send pictures to a small flat-screen monitor in the cab or towing vehicle. The real beauty of the system is that it is wireless, eliminating the need to run additional cables back to the trailer. The camera simply connects to the trailer's existing wiring (usually the internal light), and the monitor plugs into the cigarette-lighter in the cab. It really is as simple as that!

An additional camera may be fitted to the rear of the vehicle to aid reversing.

The problem with trailers is that they're designed to be coupled up and moved with the minimum of fuss. Convenient for you, but also a gift to thieves. There are a number of mechanical locks and such-like on the market to try to make life difficult for them. Mechanical devices also have the drawback that they allow the thief to work at them
for as long as he needs, undisturbed, without giving you any warning. Given time, he'll get past any mechanical device you care to fit.

TrailerGuard is a revolutionary new system available from your local trailer dealer that stacks the odds firmly back in your favour. It uses a combination of highly sensitive vibration and movement detectors connected to a miniature transmitter. The instant anyone starts to tamper with your trailer (or caravan, horsebox or quad-bike) a signal will be transmitted to a receiver up to half a mile away. Usually this would be located in your house, although it can easily be taken with you when you're staying away at competitions etc. The receiver's built-in buzzer or siren will warn you that an attempted theft is in progress. The transmitter can be silent, giving you the element of surprise, or equipped with a bleeper to warn the thief that he's been detected.
